Justin, Clay, Ally, and Jake attended the 41st Annual Meeting of the American Society for Virology, which took place in Milwaukee from July 16-20. Due to COVID-19, this was the first time the conference was held in person since 2019, leading to the biggest turn out yet! At the conference, Clay gave a Flash Talk on the “Development And Characterization Of A mRNA-LNP Vaccine Against Dengue Virus” and Ally gave a Workshop Talk on how ”Acute Viral Infection Induces Age-Specific Gene Expression Patterns in Lymph Node Stromal Cells.” Jake presented a poster on how “SARS-CoV-2 Vaccines Elicit Heterologous Protection and Block Viral Dissemination.” Overall, we had a lot of fun, got to hear about a lot of interesting science, and we are super excited to return next year!
