In November 2023, the lab got one degree hotter when Ally Bennett successfully defended her thesis "Viral Infection Induces Subset- and Age- Specific Gene Expression Patterns in Lymph Node Stromal Cells," and officially became the second graduate student to earn their PhD from the lab. During her time in the lab, she was a fantastic mentor to undergraduate student Madeline. Ally is an exceptionally organized and diligent individual, which translated to the caliber of the research she produced and presented. The lab is lucky that she is sticking around as a post-doc!
Ally received her official diploma and walked the stage during Spring graduation in May 2024, where she was hooded by Justin. Congrats Ally! We're so proud of you!
